On June 10th, Arc-hive will be part of the 2nd Summit on New Media Art Archiving part of ISEA2022 Barcelona, the 27th edition of the International Symposium on Electronic Arts, which will be held in Barcelona under the theme “Possibles” with the collaboration of the CCCB, the Santa Mònica, the NewArtFoundation, the new Hub of Art, Science and Technology Hac Te, the MACBA, the Barcelona City Council -through Ciència i Tecnologia Hac Te-, the MACBA, the Barcelona City Council -through Ciència i Tecnologia Hac Te, the Santa Mònica, the NewArtFoundation, the new Hub of Art, Science and Technology Hac Te, the MACBA, the Ajuntament de Barcelona -through Science and Universities and the Institut de Cultura- and the Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya.

Introducing d’Arc-hive is a presentation by Antonio Gagliano and Luciana Della Villa, both part of the team
of Hangar, in the areas of Research and Knowledge Transfer and Communication respectively, in order to introduce Arc-hive to those attending the 2nd Summit on New Media Art Archiving to the project’s objectives and fundamental challenges, and to open the process of collective research carried out until now with all the European partners involved in this challenging initiative. From January 2021 to June 2022, the challenges of creating and distributing cohesive protocols for digitization and dissemination through a centralized digital space where the knowledge and best practices of Bioart are gathered have been addressed collectively.
